SilverSkin™ Air Cargo Covers

Our SilverSkin™ air cargo covers are designed to regulate temperature-sensitive cargo, keeping products safe within their specified label-claim limits or ranges throughout the duration of carriage.

With the continued growth in air transport being used to ship temperature-sensitive goods across the world, it can often be the case that your shipment will encounter a variety of extreme weather conditions. SilverSkin™ insulated thermal PMC covers, AKE liners and other air freight covers help guard against temperature spikes which can threaten the integrity and efficacy of your products’.

Every product in our air cargo cover range is designed to protect and stabilise time- and temperature-sensitive freight during the entire air transportation process. This accounts for time on board the aircraft or against weather conditions encountered during downtime on the tarmac, or during loading and off-loading.

Manufactured from a variety of protective insulation materials with distinct grades and properties, our SilverSkin™ air cargo cover portfolio is comprehensive enough to ensure high-performance thermal protection for airfreight shipments made by different industries and for differing products. The options and choices are such that we have experts on hand to help you find the most suitable air cargo cover solution for the specific nature of your particular temperature-sensitive cargo.

As pioneers in materials technology, we have the know-how and historical data to assist you through a factual and considered decision-making process, ensuring your chosen air cargo cover solutions will best serve your performance, shipping and budgetary needs.

Why SilverSkin™ Air Cargo Covers?

Offering variations in insulation layers, thickness, weight, tear resistance, storage footprint, ease of use, quick-fit capabilities and durability, there is a SilverSkin™ air cargo cover available for every product type and shipping requirement.

No matter what your preference, each air cargo cover solution is both chamber and shipping lane tested and configured in support of GDP regulations. The necessity to minimise environmental impact and reduce stock wastage has been very much part of the process.

Exposure to intense solar radiation or severe wind chill conditions can be negated by our SilverSkin™ air cargo covers, as goods remain protected while awaiting air transportation when positioned on PAG or PMC cookie sheets awaiting loading or unloading. They also provide a stable temperature when shipped in either upper or lower deck positions onboard the aircraft.

Our experienced teams can assist with all the different thermal considerations relating to load mass, product mass, packaging configuration, sunlight differentials, windchill and exposure. We can also provide air cargo cover risk analysis supported by an extensive library of hot, cold and sunlight performance test data.

The innovative nature and reliability associated with SilverSkin™ air cargo covers has incurred the support of many leading pharmaceutical, chemical and perishable goods companies.

We supply air cargo covers pre-formed, as rolls or kits via multiple local sites in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, India and Australia.
